Charity Golf Day

It was an honour to be asked by @richarddeeks5 to join him on the 🏌️‍♂️ @chesfielddowns men’s section committee 2021 and support him with his role of men’s captain this year.

I have the utter most respect for all members of this committee that spend numerous hours of their own time, arranging organising and running the show behind the scenes to keep the men’s section in order and running seamlessly.
This year @vines__constructionltd are heavily involved in the Captain’s charity day on the 31st July. We’ve had such a great response from numerous #smalllocalbusinesses that are sponsoring holes 🕳, purchasing 4 balls for the day & donating prizes for the auction.

All the proceeds that we generously receive and generate will be donated to this incredible non profit organisation - @thecompassionatefriendsuk
A peer support group operating in the United Kingdom. It is a registered charity formed by and for parents whose children have died, irrespective of the child's age at death and the cause of death, and is independent of any religious, philosophical or government body.

Unfortunately there are no longer any 4 ball / tee times available for the day BUT if you’d like to make a donation to the auction or in any form please do get in touch.

Macmillan Cancer Support

I’ve decided to Go Sober for 100 days. Those that know me well are aware that I’m quite partial to a gin (or 5) but after reading how Covid-19 had devastatingly affected Macmillan’s funding I thought I may as well try and raise a few pennies for this charity so close to all our hearts ♥️ 💙.

Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.

Our current customer's baby was delivered by the midwife who required our assistance with preparing her home in preparation for the hospital to fit a dialysis machine. Firstly to keep her alive and secondly so she could spend that quality time we all need at home with our loved ones, rather than being in the hospital for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. So when the add was seen by us for DIY SOS The Big Build Welwyn (WGC), we applied straight away. This was a two week project which included the installation of a beautiful Howdens kitchen, we sourced and supplied as a donation. Many other major factors were involved, an extension, full refurbishment and having over 200 tons excavated to landscape the two gardens. The amount of volunteers was a record set for the show, and it was an honour to have played our part in this incredible life changing experience. Doing good for others and the community also provides the team with a natural sense of accomplishment, pride and identity - 'Do good, feel good'. Watch this space as Vines Construction will be volunteering on future projects.

When Ted (Bichon Poodle) Met Wiggles (Chipoo Chihuahua Toy Poodle) - always nice to call in after a project is complete to get some feedback & introduce the dogs.

teaching schools the safety behind reading

I was asked to attend a primary school as a secret reader. We visited 5 different classes of children. The message was to explain how important it is to be able to read. E.G so you can read signs on a building site in hope to prevent accidents. And how important it is to look out for one and other at all times. I hope this comes across sincere to the children.
